Associate Attorney
Grimes Hawkins Gladfelter & Galvano, P.L. in Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney who possesses high ethical and moral standards. We are seeking an individual who has at least 3-5 years’ experience in general civil practice. The position will be in Grimes Galvano’s Sarasota office.
Duties, responsibilities, and qualities for the ideal candidate include:
- Active member in Good Standing with The Florida Bar required;
- Career oriented individual who is willing to help grow the practice;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as client service skills;
- An excellent understanding of applicable local, state, and federal laws;
- Capable of working independently, time management skills and ability to manage their own caseload;
- Microsoft Office is required; and
- Legal research programs (Westlaw/LexisNexis) required.

Litigation Paralegal
Grimes Hawkins Gladfelter & Galvano, P.L. has an immediate opening in our Sarasota office for a Litigation Paralegal/ Legal Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience required. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and preparing basic pleadings and notices for review and filing
- Attend telephone conferences and prepare synopsis memoranda
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Draft documents
- Organize exhibits, documents, briefs, and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
- Redact information from documents
- Assist in trial preparation and preparing trial exhibits
- Prepare witness preparation binders
Skills:
- Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, etc.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise (MS Excel and Word skills required)
